AI services often use several pricing models. Some charge a subscription, others sell credits, and some combine both. A headline price does not always describe everything you can use.
Subscriptions for regular use
A subscription is a recurring payment that unlocks a set of features. When comparing plans, look at what is included: messages, voice, images, memory or access to characters.
A monthly plan lets you budget one month at a time. A price advertised per month but billed annually has a different payment schedule, so compare the amount charged when you sign up as well.
Credits for individual actions
Credits pay for actions inside the service. Similar actions can consume different amounts of credits across products. The pack’s credit count therefore matters less than the number of actions it buys.
Here is a fictional example: a €12 pack contains 120 credits. If an action uses 6 credits, it costs €0.60 and the pack provides 20 actions. That simple calculation makes offers easier to compare.
Hybrid plans
A subscription may include a credit allowance, with extra packs available separately. Your total cost then depends on how you use it: staying within the allowance and regularly buying extras create different budgets.
Compare in three steps
- Choose your main use: messaging, voice or generation.
- Check what each plan includes and which actions consume credits.
- Compare the total cost for the same usage.
