What Streamate is

Streamate is one of the old guard of live sex cams — the site has been running since 2003 — and it plays a different game from the tip-token circus of Chaturbate or Stripchat. Here the money is in private one-on-one video chat billed by the minute: you browse free live previews, pick the performer who gets you going, and take her (or him) private. No public token goal, no crowd, just you and a performer who is paid to focus on you.

The roster is big and properly varied: Girls, Guys and Trans sections, then category pages for everything from Anal, BDSM, Feet, Mature, Housewives and Latina to Couples, Lesbian, Leather and Toys, each showing how many performers are live right now. On the morning we checked, the Toys, Brunette and Shaved categories alone each listed several hundred live performers.

How it works

Sign up free with Google or email, then browse. Every tile is a live preview with the performer's name, age, rating and country, and filters cover Regions, Age, Features, Ethnicity, Fetishes and Language. Click in and you get the free live video plus chat — say hello, ask what she is into, check her profile for what she will and won't do.

When you are ready, you go private. Exclusive chat locks the room: nobody else watches, and the show is entirely about your requests. Premium chat is the cheaper-feeling middle ground where other members can join in. Want to share yourself? Hit Cam2Cam. Want to make it last? Book a block session and get up to 20% off the per-minute rate for a full hour. Feeling generous? Drop some GOLD — at a clean one dollar per GOLD you always know what a tip costs. GOLD Shows let several members pool pledges to unlock a group performance, with no charge if the show is cancelled.

Pricing

Streamate costs nothing to join or browse and there is no subscription. You pay only for what you use: per-minute private chats (each performer sets her rate, and the price is displayed in your currency before you start), GOLD tips at $1 each, and GOLD Show pledges. The site does not publish one global price list because rates vary by performer, so check the rate on the performer's room before you click. Block sessions are the smart move if you already know you want a long show: 15 minutes saves 5%, an hour saves 20%. EU members pay VAT on top, and PayPal adds a service charge. Refunds are not paid in cash except in extraordinary cases (Terms).

The daily limit is a nice brake: every account starts with one, and you can lower it to $25 a day so a hot night does not turn into a scary bank statement.

Pros

• Huge, varied roster of girls, guys and trans performers
• True one-on-one Exclusive shows with Cam2Cam
• Price per minute shown before you enter
• Block discounts up to 20% for long privates
• Free account, no subscription, daily spending cap

Cons

• Real action costs per minute — free chat is a teaser
• No global price list: rates vary by performer
• VAT (EU) and PayPal surcharge on top
• No cash refunds except in extraordinary cases

Who it is for

Streamate is for guys who want a performer's full attention rather than fighting a hundred tippers in a public room. If you love the free-show chaos and token goals, Chaturbate or Stripchat will give you more for free. If you want glossy, high-end privates, compare with LiveJasmin and Flirt4Free. Europeans who prefer a French-speaking crowd can try XloveCam.

Verdict

7.7/10. Streamate is a private-show machine: a massive roster, honest per-minute pricing shown up front, real Exclusive shows with Cam2Cam, and block discounts that reward a long session. It is not the place for endless free nudity, and the bill climbs fast if you are careless, but with the daily limit set, it is one of the most satisfying ways to get a performer all to yourself.
